1. Link

The unit of the anchor chain. Divided into anchor link, middle link and end link


2. Common link

The basic unit that makes up the chain link


3. Enlarged link

When using "D" type chain link shackle links, it is used to link ordinary links and end links or links used to link common links and swivels.


4. End link

Refers to the chain link attached to the end of the chain link or the anchor end link with the end shackle when using "D" type link shackle to link each link.


5. Shackle

Refers to the "D" shackle or Kenter shackle used to connect the links.


6. End shackle

It is used to enlarge the shackle for connecting the anchor link to the anchor.


7. Swivel

A rotatable part mounted on the chain link of the anchor end to prevent excessive twisting of the anchor chain.


8. Swivel shackle

A shackle with a rotating function connected to an anchor rod or an anchor shackle.


9. Anchor link

A short chain link is attached to a section connected to the anchor shackle. It is generally composed of end shackles, end links, enlarged links, swivels and common links.


10. End link

A chain link connected to the abandoned chain equipment. It is generally composed of terminal chain links, enlarged links and common links.


11. Intermediate link

A chain link composed of ordinary chain links and connecting shackles. The nominal length of each link is 27.5m or 25m.


12. Anchor chain attachment

A general term for all kinds of connecting pieces connecting common links and anchors on an anchor chain.
